Rag Rug Adventure

I have this idea in my head of the type of rug I want in Daughter’s room. I’ve become acutely aware that the idea in my head isn’t for sale ANYWHERE. Trust me. I’ve looked.
So. I’m making the rug myself. I have no idea what I’m doing. All I know is that the finished result (the one in my head) will be pastels, braided and in the shape of a huge circle. Huge. Like 7 feet across huge. Oh, I do hope this turns out!
The rag balls pictured above are only two of about 18 million that I’ll have to make before I even start the braiding process. I figured since Daughter won’t let me braid her hair, I may as well turn to the rags.
