Your Child is Baaaaaaaad.
I got my first ever, official “Your Child Misbehaved” talk today from Cali’s school. Wednesdays are less formal….no real agenda…just a play day. When there isn’t structured activity, Cali tends to get restless. Usually her behavior is stellar and she’s a star pupil….but I could tell when I picked her up that something had gone down. She was smirking…and all her little friends were standing on the opposite side of the room with their little arms folded, glaring at Cali. Here’s the rundown:
* Cali’s behaviour and actions today were unnaceptable.
* Cali took everything away from the other kids all day.
* Cali didn’t listen to us when we told her to “Stop!”
* Cali slithered out the door every time it opened and we had to chase her down the hallway all day.
* Cali still won’t eat her lunch.
I kind of got a sense of pride. Getting in trouble for the first time in school is a right of passage! I had a heart-to-heart with her…explained that she needed to mind her manners and share. She waited until I had finished and firmly declared
“I just want to rest Mommy.”
She’s still resting and when she gets up…I’m going to give her a piece of Red Velvet Cake.
